Announcement: AIPS Sport Media Awards offer a three-week extension for submissions

Following the request of many national associations present at the 84th AIPS Congress in Rome, the AIPS Sport Media Awards announce a three-week extension for submissions, thus rescheduling the deadline from October 14 to November 4.

 

The new deadline will be November 4, 18:00 Central European Time. Just as last year.

 

Therefore, the valid window of participation for the 2022 edition will be from November 5, 2021, to November 4, 2022, a full calendar year.

 

The AIPS Sport Media Awards are the only international prize for sports journalism, accepting works for free in all possible platforms, without language restrictions.

 

Colleagues are invited to submit their work using the AIPS Sport Media Awards dedicated website, www.aipsawards.com.

 

In order to submit, they first need to complete their registration (first-time users) or log in (for those already registered). The overall process for submitting two stories only takes 5 minutes.

 

“This is a gesture to all the colleagues that after the difficult COVID years are now finally finding some kind of new normality and we are glad to contribute in a month full of sporting activity,” said AIPS president Gianni Merlo to the 103 representatives present at the AIPS Congress.

 

Since opening the submission period for the fifth edition, in July, the AIPS Sport Media Awards have already received works from 90 countries coming from the five continents, more than in the previous three editions at this same stage.

 

Once all submissions are received and screened, the five voting stages will take place from December to March, with 41 professionals involved (between the panel of specialists and mentors, AIPS continental section presidents and Executive Committee members and 13 members of the Jury). The ceremony gala is scheduled for May in South Korea, where the next AIPS Congress will take place. 

 

As usual, all entrants that have already submitted can also change their submissions until the final deadline.

 

If there are any mistakes or missing links in the submission, you will only able to amend them before the deadline, which is why we recommend, in case your work is completed, to submit it as soon as possible.

 

AIPS Sport Media Awards 2022 new key dates:

Participation window: All submissions first published or broadcast since November 5, 2021, until November 4, 2022 will be accepted for this fifth edition of the AIPS Sport Media Awards.

 

Deadline for submissions: November 4, 2022, 18:00 Central European Time. Please check your local time to avoid missing out.
