LAUSANNE, April 13, 2026 - The new AIPS Executive Committee for the 2026-2030 period has unanimously appointed Jura Ozmec from Croatia as the association’s secretary general, in accordance with the statutes.
This decision was taken at the Committee’s introductory meeting which was held on 13 April 2026 at the AIPS headquarters.
Following Ozmec’s appointment, Mohamed Ould El Hassan (Mauritania), who finished 13th in the EC member election, will now join the AIPS Executive Committee, as was agreed by the voting members on Sunday.
The AIPS Executive Committee consists of the AIPS President and 23 (twenty-three) members, including four ex-officio vice-presidents, namely the presidents of the continental sections. While AIPS Europe and AIPS America conducted their elections, AIPS Asia and AIPS Africa will organise theirs at a later time.
Marc Ventouillac from France was chosen as the new leader of AIPS Europe, while Carlos Julio Castellanos was re-elected a president of AIPS America.
