Američka gimnastičarka Simone Biles i srpski tenisač broj jedan na svijetu Novak Đoković proglašeni su sportašima AIPS-a za 2023. godinu.
To je rezultat ankete Međunarodne udruge sportskih novinara (AIPS), u kojoj je 405 novinara iz 107 zemalja glasovalo za najbolje sportaše 2023. godine.
Najbogatija svjetska gimnastičarka iz Kolumba (Ohio), Biles Simone osvojila prvo mjesto s ukupno 353 prikupljenih glasova. Drugo mjesto zauzela je kenijska atletičarka Kipyegon Faith sa 329 glasova, dok je španjolska nogometašica Aitana Bonmati treća sa 297 glasova.
Postavši se jednim od najistaknutijih prvaka u tenisu srpska zvijezda Novak Đoković osvojila je prvo mjesto u ovogodišnjem izdanju s ukupno osvojenih 616 bodova. Drugo mjesto zauzeo je švedski Armand Duplantis s 335 bodova, dok je argentinski nogometaš Lionel Messi zauzeo treće mjesto s 277 bodova.
